Join us for a weekend of fun and informative events and help GROW North Texas further its mission to connect North Texans to food, farms, and community in order to create a sustainable, secure regional food system that enriches the land, encourages economic opportunity through food and agriculture, and supports equitable access to healthy, nutritious food for all.
In addition to the tour itself which is on Sunday, October 5th from 1:00-5:00, a fundraising meet and greet will be held Friday evening, October 3rd at Recycle Revolution – learn about the recycling process and enjoy locally produced beer, wine and tasty treats. Recycle Revolution will also be a tour stop on Sunday. They will be giving guided tours of their amazing recycling facilities! 

Informative workshops (chicken and bee keeping and more) will be held at Trinity Haymarket on Saturday, October 4th. The $25 charge for a day of workshops includes the cost of Sunday’s tour.

Schedule of classes:

10:00 AM – Organic Feed – Cameron Molberg, Coyote Creek Feed Mill

11:00 AM – Beekeeping – Ginger Cole

12:00 PM - Poultry Husbandry and Raising Grubs in a Biopod – Bill Doughtery

1:00 PM - Essential Oils in Emergency Preparedness – Bre Taylor

2:00 PM – Fall into Winter Gardening – Andrea Bithell


If purchased separately, Farm Frolic maps are $10. Pick up your map on Sunday, October 5th at Recycle Revolution, 7600 Sovereign Row.
 
The Farm Frolic will go on, rain or shine. Please be prepared for the variances of October weather in Texas!

The tour is in no particular order and is at your own pace. Please plan your visits within the scheduled hours of 1:00-5:00 PM on Sunday, October 5th only. Thank you for respecting the homeowners’ privacy by not visiting outside these hours.

Restrooms will not be available at private homes. Please plan accordingly.
